We got to spend the evening of Fathers Day with friends from the DS Network.  It was fun to get down on the field ahead of time.  Jason had a first...got his hands on a grand slam home run ball (didn't catch it on the fly but grabbed it after it bounced off the hands)

Jensen's Backstroke

Just out for a relaxing swim...

Jensen overcame some significant anxiety about swimming in a meet this past Tuesday night.  On Saturday, at an exhibition meet, she wanted no part in swimming as she doesn't enjoy eyeballs centered on her (lots of tears).  She seems to love practice but doesn't like the attention of a meet.  After several discussions and some sweet encouragement from friends, Jensen swam her assigned events on Tuesday and seemed to enjoy it more and more as the meet went on.  In the car on the way home (at 10:45 PM!!...long swim meet), she was talking about wanting to ask her coach to swim in an event next Tuesday that she wasn't assigned to this week.  We think that's a good sign!

Last Day of 2nd Grade

Jacob has had a great year with Mr. C and the students in his class (just a good group of kids).  Mr. C has really pushed Jacob's writing, and Jacob has loved that the two male 2nd grade teachers play touch football with the boys nearly every day at recess.  Jacob has been been blessed by another oustanding year at GES.

Jensen's Bible Presentation

Westover has the tradition of presenting a new Bible to each graduating Kindergarten student.  Jensen received her Bible this year.  The 60+ students also sang a few songs for family members and friends in attendance.  It was a fun program!

JG's New SS Class

In recent weeks, Janie has transitioned to a new a Sunday School class.  We're blessed to have some fantastic women that have volunteered to shepherd her as there is more structure in this class than before and Janie needs to get used to that.  We're hopeful she might be able to "go it alone" in the future but thankful for the extra measure of love she receives each Sunday.

On this particular Sunday, cousin Miller was in town and they got to be together.
